Typically, Project LET’S Go! runs on an annual cycle, with the process of understanding and discussing about the goal with the schools being the first step and taking the longest time. Although young participants are selected for their maturity, aspirations, and talents, and are given orientation and guidance in areas of lesson planning, activity design, and leadership development. Participants are also paired up with local volunteers of similar age to help with language and cultural immersion. When timing is ready, they are connected with the children online prior to the camp. Depending on each school’s need, the camp length varies from one week to 20 days in summertime. Post-camp business entails guided reflective writing, constructive evaluation, and specific recommendations for improvement.
